More about me
I'm a UX/UI designer with a career shaped by transformation and a passion for creating thoughtful solutions. From ecologist to nutritionist, entrepreneur, and now designer, I’ve built my path on curiosity, adaptability, and the drive to bring clarity and purpose to the everyday.
BIOGRAPHY
I hold a BS and MS in environmental science from Sofia University and a PhD in human nutrition from Cornell University. For over 12 years, I ran a wellness business, helping close to 300 individuals and organizations improve their health and well-being. My work has included research on body image and eating behaviors, designing wellness programs, and providing one-on-one coaching—all aimed at fostering trust and creating lasting, positive change.
I bring these experiences into UX/UI design, combining my problem-solving mindset and attention to detail to craft meaningful, user-focused experiences. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas and creating designs that make life a little easier for the people using them.
Moving to the U.S. at 22, after (somewhat miraculously) winning a green card on my first try, was a defining moment. Starting fresh in a new culture taught me perseverance, humility, and the value of adaptability—skills that continue to shape how I work. Having lived half my life in Europe and half in the U.S., I’ve learned to appreciate different perspectives and find common ground, which helps me approach design with empathy and open-mindedness.
I believe thoughtful design has the power to connect people and improve lives, and I’m excited to keep exploring how to make that happen through my work.
PERSONAL
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me practicing yoga, trying new fitness challenges, cooking healthy (and sometimes not-so-healthy) meals, or enjoying nature, life, and everything in-between with my dog, Gwennie. Oh, and my husband, Chris, of course (he refused to appear in this portfolio)! ;) Recently, I’ve been tackling DIY projects in my fixer-upper home, learning firsthand the value of patience and problem-solving.
